‘Trunk or treat’ in Mill Creek
The city of Mill Creek is holding its annual “trunk or treat” event for children ages 12 and younger from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday. The City Hall parking lot is expected to be full of decorated cars and people passing out candy.
Everyone is asked to bring one canned food item per person to be donated for the Mill Creek Food Bank.
Monroe needs volunteers: The city of Monroe is seeking people to serve on its salary commission and library board.
The salary commission has two openings, one with a term ending Dec. 31, 2016, and the other ending Dec. 31, 2017. It reviews and sets salaries for the mayor and City Council members.
The library board needs someone to serve a term that ends Dec. 31, 2020. The board advises the City Council and Sno-Isle Regional Library System on the Monroe Library and plans for its future.

Free flu shot clinic in Everett: Molina Healthcare is hosting a flu shot clinic from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at 15 SW Everett Mall Way. The first 75 people at the clinic can get a free flu shot if they are at least 19 years old. Medical professionals will be on hand to answer questions about health insurance and flu shots.
