EDMONDS — Running back Collin Montez carried 19 times for 172 yards and four touchdowns as Marysville Getchell rolled past Mountlake Terrace in a Wesco 3A crossover game.
Montez, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound junior, had touchdown runs of 4 and 34 yards in the first half, and added TD carries of 5 and 9 yards in the second half.
The Chargers scored a field goal on their first offensive possession and touchdowns on the next two, giving them a 17-0 halftime margin.
The first-team Marysville Getchell defense kept the Hawks in check for most of the game, save for a 68-yard touchdown dash by Mountlake Terrace running back Jordan Bishop late in the third quarter. The Hawks added a second TD in the final moments against the Charger backups.
