TACOMA — Authorities say 13 people were hospitalized during Washington’s FreakNight electronic dance show.
The News Tribune reported that spokesman Joe Meinecke says Tacoma Fire evaluated 107 patients Saturday night and nine were taken to the hospital.
Seven of those people were in stable condition, and the other two were more serious.
Four people were taken to the hospital Friday night, two in serious condition.
Meinecke says the majority of the hospitalizations seem to be related to alcohol or drug use.
The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office said Sunday that none of the patients had died.
A spokesman for USC Events says the organization’s safety and security teams think the weekend went well. The electronic dance show increased safety measures this year following the 2014 death of a 20-year-old man who overdosed on Ecstasy.
