Kole Johnson

Stanwood | Football

Johnson, a senior, threw for five touchdowns in the Spartans’ 41-20 win over Shorewood on Friday. Johnson has thrown 10 touchdowns in Stanwood’s last two games, leading the Spartans to back-to-back victories.

Courtney Fitzmaurice

Marysville Pilchuck | Volleyball

Fitzmaurice, a senior, set a school-record with 52 assists in Marysville Pilchuck’s four-set win over Arlington on Wednesday. Fitzmaurice also finished second on the team in kills in a 3-0 win over Shorecrest on Thursday, helping the Tomahawks clinch a berth in the 3A District 1 Tournament.

Hannah Hicks

Edmonds-Woodway | Girls Soccer

Hicks, a sophomore, didn’t allow a goal last week. She helped the Warriors finish the regular season undefeated with a tie against Shorewood on Monday and a win over Marysville Pilchuck on Wednesday. She also had a shutout in the Warriors’ district tournament opening win over Meadowdale on Saturday.

Gunnar Thorstenson

Shorewood | Boys Tennis

Thorstenson, a sophomore, won the 3A District 1 singles championship with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Mountlake Terrace’s Jeremy Ansdell on Thursday.

Taylor Roe

Kamiak | Girls Cross Country

Roe, a freshman, won the 4A Bi-District championship on Saturday with a time of 18 minutes, 28.54 seconds. Roe’s time was nearly 22 seconds better than Eastlake’s Pia Richards, who finished in second place.

King’s Knights

Boys Cross Country

The Knights, led by junior Matt Jackson who finished sixth, won the 1A District 1 Cross Country championship on Saturday. King’s finished with 108 points, edging out Northwest, which finished second with 122 points.
