Mill Creek considers property tax levies
The Mill Creek City Council has scheduled a public hearing to set property tax levies for 2016 at 6 p.m. Nov. 10 at City Hall.
People can provide oral testimony or submit written comments to the City Clerk before the hearing.
Personal care kits: In an effort to help those in need, nonprofit Molina Healthcare will be giving away personal care kits from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 5 at its new ConcertoHealth Care Center in Lynnwood, 2322 196th St. SW, Suite 100. The free kits include items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste and shampoo. In addition to the personal care kits, the event will offer free blood pressure screenings and the opportunity to learn more about the new clinic.
Open house: An open house for Swedish Edmonds’ new $63.5 million expansion is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 7. The hospital is at 21601 76th Ave. W in Edmonds. This project marks the largest expansion at Swedish Edmonds in more than 40 years. The two-story, 77,000-square-foot facility features a new front entry and new emergency department, a new outpatient diagnostic imaging and observation space.
Coffee with the chief: Mukilteo Police Chief Chuck Macklin plans a “Coffee with a Cop” event at 8 a.m. Monday at the Starbucks at 10200 Mukilteo Speedway. Everyone is welcome to come and ask questions.
