Mill Creek to honor veterans
The city has scheduled Veteran’s Day activities beginning at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
This year, a parade is to follow the traditional gathering at the Veteran’s Monument in Library Park, 15429 Bothell-Everett Highway. The parade will start at 11 a.m. at LA Fitness on Main Street. It will continue to Starbucks in the Mill Creek Town Center.
Main Street is scheduled be closed from the 14900 to the 15600 block at about 10:45 a.m. until after the parade.
Local author to read: Christy Lynn Anana, a school counselor in the Marysville School District and a yoga instructor, is holding a book launch for her second novel for middle-grade readers, “Toni and the Five Best Days to Run Away,” at 7 p.m. Thursday at the University Book Store in Mill Creek, located in Mill Creek Town Center at 15311 Main St. Anana will sign copies and read from her book, which is targeted to children ages 7-12 and is written to help children process difficult emotions.
Snohomish school fundraiser: Emerson Elementary school is having its annual wreath and greenery sale through Nov. 10. The proceeds pay for activities at the school such as parties and assemblies.
The wreaths and other arrangements will be delivered to buyers at the beginning of December.
