Marysville UniFirst rep receives customer-service award
Sedro Woolley resident Mitchell Paquette, a UniFirst route sales representative based in Marysville, has earned UniFirst’s Aldo Croatti Award for customer service for retaining 100 percent of his customers for an entire fiscal year. Nationwide, only 11 employees were able to earn this distinction. Paquette also came close to winning the award in 2012.
Monroe’s Canyon Creek Cabinets wins Community Impact Award
On Oct. 21, Monroe-based Canyon Creek Cabinet Company was recognized by Seattle Business magazine with a Community Impact Award. Canyon Creek was the winner of the Sustainability in Business Operations category. Previously, Seattle Business magazine presented the company with their 2012 Washington Green 50 Manufacturing Award and a 2013 Silver Manufacturing Award.
Mukiteo’s Work Force Development raises money for natural disaster emergency kits
Work Force Development Center in Mukilteo is raising funds for emergency kits to care for their young trainees in case of a natural disaster. The public can help simply by filling out a short survey about the college they attended. GradReports will donate $5 for each survey completed. Nonprofit aims to help veterans, families get well-paying jobs
Veteran Services Organization has announced a new suite of services dedicated to nurturing talent within the veteran community for civilian employment and placement with organizations. These services include free resume services, career advice, preparing veterans for interviews and translating military skills into the job market. Apply for tourism grants in Mountlake Terrace
Twenty-five-thousand dollars in lodging tax funds are available to qualified applicants for projects and events that promote tourism in 2016. Funds must be used for marketing or operation of special events and festivals designed to attract tourists.
