Sno-Isle Libraries to host events with local authors

For a second year, a series of programs by Sno-Isle Libraries will help readers learn more about some of the published authors who live in the region. About 44 authors will participate in the speaker series.

Each free event will feature a panel of authors. Their work, collectively, covers a variety of subjects, including children’s picture books to adult fiction and non-fiction. Books will be available for signing and purchase. Refreshments will be served.

Programs are scheduled at the following libraries:

Lake Stevens Library: 2 to 3:30 p.m. Nov. 8, 1804 Main St., with authors Martin Limon, Seconde Nimenya, Pat Pritchard, Alexis Morgan, Dorothy Read, Mark Souza, Valerie Stein, Lisa Stowe and Dorine White.

Freeland Library: 1 to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 14, 5495 Harbor Ave., with authors Mare Chapman, Lorraine Healy, Andrea Hurst, Sean Keeley, Gina Marie Mammano, Thomas Trimbath and Judith Works.

Oak Harbor Library: 2 to 3:30 p.m. Nov. 16, 1000 SE Regatta Dr., with authors Deb Lund, Art B., C.J. Booth, Lois V. Harris, Donna Hood, Rick Lawler, Sandra Pollard and Rick Vander Kam.

Sultan Library: 1 to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 21, 319 Main St., with authors J. Anderson Coats, Holly Cupala, Mindy Hardwick, Roy Kindelberger, Sharlene Nusser, Susan Schreyer and Richard Spelman.

Mountlake Terrace Library: 2 to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 5, 23300 58th Ave W, with author Greg Bear, Carole Dagg, Nancy Horan, Gloria Koll, Loretta Martin, Craig Orback and Trudi Trueit.

Langley Library: 6:30 to 8 p.m. Dec. 17, 104 Second St., with authors Allan Ament, Margaret Bendet, Kay Foss, Lenita Graves, Garr Kuhl, Judy Lynn and Dan Pedersen.
