Planes, trains and — well, not very many automobiles.
The state is working on a long-term plan for public transportation and wants your input.
There’s a lot that fits under that umbrella — it’s not just about buses. Vanpools. Paratransit. App-driven ventures like Pronto, Uber and Lyft. Walking and bicycling. Trains. Ferries. Planes. Even telecommuting. The list is long.
The population is growing, and so is demand for alternatives to the single-occupant vehicle.
Public comments on the draft plan will be accepted through Jan. 5. Send comments to ShannSa@consultant.wsdot.wa.gov, call 206-462-6357, or take a survey at www.surveymonkey.com/r/WSPTPSurvey.
