Recently Seahawks receiver Ricardo Lockette suffered serious neck and disc injuries and on the same Sunday New Orleans Saints running back Khiry Robinson suffered a broken leg. In both cases, I witnessed players reaching their hands out or kneeling in prayer for their injured comrades. Many of the fans in both arenas were doing the same.
Why then is it not OK for Bremerton assistant football coach Joe Kennedy to lead his team in prayer at the 50-yard line after each game? He does it and he gets suspended while others do it at NFL games and it becomes acceptable and a touching moment. I am a Christian and believe in the power of prayer. Apparently, many players and fans at the two NFL games felt the same way.
