Daylee Hanson, a senior at King’s High School, has signed an NCAA letter of intent to play basketball next season at the University of Idaho.
Hanson, a 5-foot-11 guard, has been a starter for the Knights since her freshman year. She averaged 11.8 points per game last season in helping lead King’s to the Class 1A state championship.
“Daylee has had a tremendous impact on our program, providing leadership and spiritual guidance to our team,” King’s girls basketball coach Dan Taylor said in a statement released by the school. “She is always first to encourage and has one of the most competitive drives I have ever coached.”
Idaho coach Jon Newlee had this to say about Hanson on the school’s website:
“Daylee is a long guard who I think can defend almost one through five on the floor. She is extremely athletic and a slasher offensively that can get to the rim. She does a great job on the open floor and can step back and shoot the 3.”
