SPOKANE — A 50-year-old Spokane man is facing assault charges after his neighbor said he swung a Klingon sword at him during an argument about trash.
KREM-TV reported court documents say the defendant’s wife got into an argument with the neighbor Saturday and accused him of putting trash in their bin. She said she returned his trash to him, but he threw the bag at her as she walked away.
The neighbor said the woman’s husband came rushing outside swinging a multiple-blade weapon. The neighbor said he put up his hands up to block the blade and was able to pull the weapon away from the man, but fell backward of the porch.
The woman said her husband swung the Klingon sword after the neighbor barged into their home but did not actually attack him.
