TRI-CITIES — A judge is set to hear the case of two former Hanford information technology employees who lost their jobs after exposing problems with the way the site was keeping its electronic medical records.
The Tri-City Herald reported that the hearings are scheduled to start Tuesday and last through Thursday at the Benton County courthouse.
Computer Sciences Corp. was ordered to pay back wages totaling $186,000 to the two former employees last year.
The workers had reported inaccuracies in the tracking of medical restrictions at the site. The situation put workers at risk for chronic beryllium disease to be exposed to beryllium, despite medical restrictions that were supposed to protect them.
Computer Sciences Corp. has appealed the ruling.
