Snohomish financial adviser collects toys for drive
Financial adviser Sterling Gurney in Snohomish is one of more than 300 Edward Jones advisors collecting toys for the U.S. Marine Corps 2015 Toys for Tots drive. Drop off a new, unwrapped toy by Dec. 11 at 602 Second St., Suite C, in Snohomish or other Edward Jones locations. They cannot accept gift cards, cash or checks as donations.
State agency moves to take action against Stanwood mover
The Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission has taken action against Stanwood-based Alice the Mover, a residential moving company that has been operating without a required permit. The company had originally been suspended for two years on the condition that owner Heidi Bergman apply for a permit by Oct. 23 and stop operating as a residential moving company. Bergman failed to meet the conditions.
Donations sought for PNAA scholarship fund
Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance is asking local companies to help them meet their goal of raising $50,000 in aerospace scholarship money.
