TACOMA — Police say a man in his 30s died after he was hit by an Amtrak train in Tacoma.
Tacoma police spokeswoman Loretta Cool says the man was with a running club when he was hit Thursday night in a railroad crossing near Ruston Way.
The News Tribune reported the man saw a freight train go by, started running and did not see the Amtrak train coming.
No one else was injured.
The man’s identity has not been released.
