SHORELINE — Abi Kim scored a goal in each half to lead Seattle Christian past King’s in the Class 1A state quarterfinals Friday afternoon at Shoreline Stadium.
Kim, a senior, opened the scoring at 39:22 of the first half, tallying off a penalty kick. She gave the Warriors a 2-0 lead at 69:14 of the second half when she scored off an assist from Thea Nelson.
King’s cut the difference to one goal just over a minute later when Avalon Albright scored off an assist from Anna Parker, but the Knights could not get the equalizer.
Seattle Christian goalie Madisen Fors made eight saves. King’s goaltender Maddie Nielsen stopped three shots.
Seattle Christian (18-2-1) moves on to play Cascade-Leavonworth for the state championship at 2 p.m. Saturday at Shoreline Stadium. King’s (15-3-4) plays Connell at 10 a.m. to decide third and fourth places.
