SPOKANE — Power company Avista says about 61,000 customers remained without power Saturday in the Spokane area.
The company on its website says crews are systematically repairing 40 distribution feeders damaged in Tuesday’s storm.
The company says work is being done on 11 of the feeders that serve critical customers such as police, fire and medical facilities.
Another 21 feeders have been identified as priorities for Saturday.
The company says that nearly 100 construction line crews are on the job working in rotating 18-hour shifts.
