Boeing fires, reprimands Everett workers for sexting

EVERETT — The Boeing Co. says it has fired and disciplined several workers for “inappropriate personal behavior.”

The Everett plant workers had been using company-issued phones for sexting — sending sexually-explicit images by text message, according to sources at the company. The sources were not allowed to publicly speak about the matter.

A Boeing spokesman would not comment on what prompted the disciplinary action.

“The actions of a few in no way represent our thousands of employees,” the company said in its statement on the matter.
