EVERETT — Linemen have restored power to nearly all of the 150,000 Snohomish County PUD customers who lost electricity during this past Tuesday’s windstorm.
There are a few customers still in the dark, but in those cases, homeowners must make some repairs before the Public Utility District can restore power, PUD spokesman Bob Bolerjack said.
Repair crews and support teams have been working around the clock since the storm. Finally, shortly after midnight Sunday morning, the PUD closed its storm center, which coordinates the repair work, he said.
For several days, the PUD had about 1,000 additional people working either in the field or providing administrative and logistical support.
