No burning: A burn ban was put in place for Snohomish County on Thursday afternoon. The use of fireplaces and most wood stoves is not allowed along with outdoor fires, due to stagnant weather and rising air pollution. The weather is supposed to be cold and calm through the weekend. The burn ban could last until early next week, officials said.
