In this Thanksgiving season, there are so many things to be grateful for. We have freedom in our country. Speaking our opinions is one of these freedoms, magnified by The Herald’s willingness to print multiple opinions each day in the letters section. I am grateful for these freedoms, and for the protections offered by immunizations and health care in our country.
Millions of mothers and children in our world still die every year because they don’t have access to the simplest of these interventions. I am grateful for the opportunity to advocate to save these lives. The Reach Every Mother and Child Act is supported by Sen. Patty Murray and Reps. Rick Larsen and Suzan DelBene. Thanks to them, please join me in asking them to step up their efforts to pass this life-saving legislation. It is a way to celebrate this season of gratitude.
