AUBURN — A group of homeowners has grown so tired of serial car prowlers they have designed a watchdog application to stop the spree.
KIRO-TV reported that the app called Volunteer Spot allows the Auburn neighbors to cover shifts to keep an eye on homes and cars.
Users of the app say its working so well they’re chasing suspected car prowlers out of the area almost nightly. They say Auburn police is aware of the frequent car break-ins, but know officers are spread thin and cannot always be in the area.
