MILL CREEK — Two people were booked into jail after a short police pursuit in Mill Creek on Wednesday afternoon.
A Mill Creek police officer checked the license plate of a new model Scion in a parking lot after noticing suspicious activity, according to a police department press release.
His hunch was right. The car, with four people inside, had been reported stolen in Seattle.
The patrol officer instructed the driver to stop.
The driver reportedly ignored the commands and ran a stop sign. With the officer following, the driver then ran a stop light at Mill Creek Boulevard and 164th Street SE. When car turned onto 3rd Avenue SE, the driver lost control of it and the car went through a fence and ran into a house, police said.
