Jayme Biendl Memorial Run
A memorial run in honor of slain correctional officer Jayme Biendl is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 31, at 10 a.m. in Monroe.* Biendl, 34, was killed in the line of duty at the Washington State Reformatory in Monroe on Jan. 29, 2011. She was found strangled at her post in the prison chapel. Inmate Byron Scherf was convicted of aggravated first-degree murder and is on death row.
The run is set to take place at the Skykomish River Park, 413 Sky River Parkway in Monroe. Proceeds are to benefit the Behind the Badge Foundation.

Clothes For Kids has been providing school clothing to students from low-income families since 1984.
