Regarding the article, “‘Ride the Ducks’ vehicles back on Seattle streets”: So, the Ducks will ride again! This disastrous episode has been swept under the rug, and these monsters have been declared safe to terrorize the streets of Seattle once again.
Has anyone noticed there are no legal bumpers on these critters? The front and rear on these Ducks are shaped like the upswept bow of a boat, which means:
If you should rear-end one these, you would probably come to a stop about where your windshield crushes in on you. If a Duck should rear-end you (especially a small car) it would most likely ride up and over the top, flattening the car and its occupants.
Our cars and trucks are required to have legal bumpers, why not these Ducks?
