PACKWOOD — The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network is reporting a small earthquake near Packwood, Washington.
The shallow quake measured a magnitude 3.1 around 8:50 p.m. Friday. It wasn’t enough to cause damage or injuries, but it did shake up the community near Mount Rainier.
The epicenter of the quake was about 38 miles west of Yakima, 46 miles east of Morton and 49 miles southwest of Ellensburg.
