RENTON — Six teens have been arrested after a stolen car rammed a Renton police cruiser.
KOMO-TV reported officers started following a stolen vehicle Friday at 8:35 p.m. when they saw it driving in the area of Gene Coulon Park on Lake Washington.
David Leibman of the Renton police said officers followed that vehicle and another they later determined had also been stolen.
During the chase, one of the stolen cars rammed a patrol car that was attempting to stop them. The second stolen vehicle crashed into a ditch and six teens were arrested.
Leibman said charges are pending for possession of a stolen vehicle and assault.
The officer driving the patrol car that was rammed was taken to Valley Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
