JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Jaguars have fired defensive coordinator Bob Babich after three seasons that included two of the worst in franchise history.
The Jaguars made the announcement Tuesday, after coach Gus Bradley met with his assistants.
During Babich’s tenure, the Jaguars turned in three of the worst defensive seasons in franchise history. The Jaguars (5-11) allowed 448 points in 2015, one shy of the team record set in 2013.
Bradley hinted Monday that he would make staff changes and wouldn’t rule out taking over the defensive play-calling next season. Bradley made it clear he plans to be more hands-on with the defense, beginning in the offseason.
