The Seahawks released the news Friday night that star running back Marshawn Lynch has been downgraded to out for Sunday’s wild-card playoff game at Minnesota because of his abdominal injury.
Lynch, who missed the previous seven games because of the injury, which required surgery, returned to practice this week. He appeared set to play after being a full participant in practice the past three days.
However, following Friday’s practice Lynch felt like he was unable to play, and he did not make the trip with the team to Minneapolis.
With Lynch out, the Seahawks will again turn to the duo of Christine Michael and Bryce Brown to serve as the primary ball carriers, with Fred Jackson continuing in the role as the third-down back.
