RAM Restaurant raises more than $8,000 for breast cancer research

The RAM Restaurant and Brewery’s recent Drink Pink promotion raised $8,235.85 to benefit the American Cancer Society. All Puget Sound RAM locations featured a special Drink Pink menu with $1 from each purchase being donated to the American Cancer Society. Drink Pink commemorative shirts and pink bracelets also were sold with a portion of those proceeds being donated.

Snohomish County Boys &Girls Clubs join Cocoon House’s Safe Place program

All 15 Snohomish County Boys &Girls Clubs are now designated Safe Place sites for youth in crisis seeking services through Cocoon House’s Safe Place program. The clubs join Everett Transit, all Sno-Isle Libraries, all YMCAs, two Workforce Development Centers and two Everett Public Libraries as a safe place for youth to seek help.

Deadlines due for monthly, quarterly tax filers

Washington State Department of Revenue reminds taxpayers that the deadline for monthly filers is Jan. 25. Quarterly and annual filers have until Feb. 1 due to the return date falling on a Sunday. Most businesses are required to use Revenue’s electronic tax filing system, e-file, to submit their returns and pay their taxes.

KuKuRuZa offers new seasonal specialty flavors

KuKuRuZa Gourmet Popcorn, with a location at the Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood, has added seasonal specialty flavors for a limited time. These include Blood Orange Persimmon, Raspberry &Cream and Buffalo Bleu Cheese flavored popcorn. KuKuRuZa Gourmet Popcorn has been handcrafting gourmet popcorn varieties in Seattle and beyond since 2008. Jan. 19 is National Popcorn Day.
