SEATTLE — A 29-year-old Seattle man has been sentenced to 6½ years in prison after pleading guilty last month to vehicular homicide.
The Seattle Times reported that Lucas McQuinn admitted he was driving drunk in June when he struck and killed 45-year-old bicyclist, Andres Hulslander. McQuinn was sentenced Friday in King County Superior Court.
Court records show that Hulslander was wearing a bright-colored jersey when he rode his bike from his work in Seattle to his home in Lake Forest Park on June 27. His bike had a red, flashing taillight.
According to court records, McQuinn reportedly told an officer he had drunk four beers and taken Adderall before the crash.
