U.S. Soccer announced Monday that Sounders defender Brad Evans has been added to the U.S. Men’s National Team roster for its annual January camp in Carson, California.
The first training camp of 2016 runs until Feb. 6.
The roster contains a mix of senior team members and a host of players eligible for the U-23 Men’s National Team. The camp culminates with friendlies against Iceland (Jan. 31) and Canada (Feb. 5).
Evans, 30, has 25 career international caps, including eight caps in 2015. He collected the game-winning assist in the U.S. men’s 2-1 win at Germany last June. He has one international goal — a stoppage-time winner at Jamaica on June 7, 2013, that ranks as the latest match-winning goal in U.S. FIFA World Cup qualifying history.
Evans made four appearances for the national team in the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
