I’m compelled to respond to Mr. Shultz’s Jan. 25 letter “Aid available for apparent OCD.” He is absolutely correct in that Dr. Sid Schwab needs help. Ranting about GOP politics is simply too gargantuan an enterprise for any one person to take on alone, even someone as capable as Dr. Schwab. There is simply too much to rant about when discussing the political views expressed by the vast array of GOP presidential hopefuls and their supporters. It seems that some among the GOP faithful would like nothing better than to create a theo-plutocracy of gun-toting, Bible-thumping conservative extremists unwilling to compromise or negotiate with those expressing opposing views. I could continue my rants, but I’ll leave this to Dr. Schwab who will have more space to rant eloquent about the GOP than The Herald allots to letters to its editor. Unfortunately, even if Dr. Schwab had the entire Herald on a daily basis to rant about GOP politics, it would not be enough. Keep ‘em coming, Dr. Schwab, and give ‘em hell!
