TACOMA — Police say a man was shot to death as he sat in his car outside a Tacoma convenience store and gas station.
The News Tribune reported that officers were looking for the shooter. The victim, described as a man in his 30s, was shot about 1 p.m. at the Arco gas station.
Police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said it’s too soon in the investigation to know what led up to the shooting.
Tacoma Public Utilities, which is nearby, was placed on lockdown while the shooter is loose.
The back window on the victim’s sedan was shot out. Witnesses said at least five shots were fired.
