The population of Lake Stevens continues to grow with the new housing developments and the annexation recently carried out by the city. Therefore, they want to increase our real estate taxes for their corresponding school needs. Instead of increasing everybody’s taxes, the city should tax the developers/sellers/buyers of these new houses at least a 25 percent tax on each sale. The money will be needed for schools, road maintenance and other public services. Vote no on this expensive and exorbitant levy. This isn’t Mercer Island!
