I have to disagree with Mr. Tennessen’s letter that chastises The Herald for printing an Associated Press article that mentions Track Palin’s latest run-in with the law. (“Leave Palin’s son out of articles.”) If you recall Ms. Palin’s comments regarding her son’s arrest, she ranted about PTSD and how this is President Obama’s fault (naturally) for not giving a rat’s patootie (my words) about our combat troops. (I have seen television interviews with leaders of at least two veterans groups who are not thrilled with Ms. Palin’s linking of her son’s domestic violence arrest to PTSD.) And I, along with tens of millions of others, believe it is ludicrous to blame our president for everything under the sun, including Ms. Palin’s son’s current problems. I, for one, hope The Herald will continue to cover the news as it is made, not as what some of us might wish it to be.
