MILL CREEK — A man was taken into custody Monday after a relatively slow-speed pursuit that began on the Bothell-Everett Highway ended on Lowell Larimer Road.
The Mill Creek Police Department was the lead agency with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office providing assistance.
A Mill Creek officer spotted the driver in a pickup truck. The officer recognized him and knew he had felony warrants for his arrest, Mill Creek detective Sgt. Kate Hamilton said.
The officer tried to pull the driver over in the 13500 block of the highway, but the suspect kept driving.
“It wasn’t high speed,” Hamilton said. “The driver just kept going.”
The pickup eventually pulled over and the suspect stayed in the vehicle for at least 20 minutes without getting out or following orders. Officers eventually were able to reach him on his cellphone.
“Even after exiting the vehicle, he was not following commands,” Hamilton said.
A police dog was used during the arrest. The man was examined for a dog bite before he was taken to the Snohomish County Jail.
