Pac-12 recruiting rankings

Pac-12 recruiting classes ranked according to Scout.com national ranking.

1. UCLA — Another star-studded recruiting class for the Bruins, who need to start turning these high ratings into more victories. Among their 30 signees is 5-star linebacker Mique Juarez, who is rated as the top player at his position in the country.

2. USC — Despite a year of turmoil and a coaching change, the Trojans signed more 5-star prospects — four of ‘em — than any team in the country, including the nation’s top-rated athlete (Jack Jones) and receiver (Tyler Vaughns).

3. Stanford — Apparently winning the Pac-12 title regularly makes it easier to find talented smart dudes. The Cardinal signed 11 4-star prospects, three of whom rank among Scout.com’s top 100 players in the class (and they signed six offensive linemen, as should be expected).

4. Oregon — Eight 4-star recruits for the Ducks, including four who rank among Scout.com’s top 300 players in the class. Tristen Wallace, a 6-foot-3, 225-pound athlete prospect from Texas, might be one to watch.

5. Washington — This isn’t a bad mark for the Huskies, considering they signed only 18 players in this year’s class — going purely by average star-rating, the Huskies come in 16th in the country. Eight of their signees were rated 4-stars, so UW should feel good about its haul.

6. Arizona State — The Sun Devils loaded up on junior-college talent, signing seven such players in this class. But they also added some talented high-schoolers, such as 4-star receiver N’Keal Harry, who took one of his official visits to Washington.

7. California — The Bears only signed one 4-star prospect — Paraclete High School athlete Melquise Stovall, who is apparently not related to Maurice Stovall, so stop asking.

8. Utah — Garett Bolles, Scout.com’s top-rated junior college player and a 5-star recruit, signed to play for the Utes. So did 26 other prospects, including former UW quarterback Troy Williams.

9. Arizona — Not a particularly impressive class on paper, though the Wildcats did sign one of UW’s top offensive line targets — Michael Eletise, a 4-star prospect from Hawaii.

10. Washington State — The Cougars were able to breathe easier this year and avoided the last-second flip-flopping that defined last year’s signing day.

11. Oregon State — Perhaps a pair of 4-star recruits — safeties Christian Wallace and Shurod Thompson — can help jump-start the dormant Beavers.

12. Colorado — Class is highlighted by 4-star running back Beau Bisharat, who was once committed to Stanford but chose the Buffaloes on signing day.
