U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen is scheduled to speak Monday at a meeting of the 1st Legislative District Democrats.
The Democrats meet at 7 p.m. at the International Union of Operating Engineers Hall, 18701 120th Ave. N.E. Bothell. District officials plan a light dinner at 6 p.m.
The 1st Legislative District includes most of Mountlake Terrace, all of Brier and Bothell, unincorporated areas of Snohomish County north and east of Bothell, the north outskirts of Kirkland and unincorporated areas of King County between Bothell and Kirkland.
Larsen represents the 2nd Congressional district including Mountlake Terrace, Brier, Lynnwood, coastal areas of Snohomish, Skagit and Whatcom counties from Mukilteo to Bellingham, and all of Island and San Juan counties.
Democrats note that Larsen may have to cancel if he gets a quick call back to Washington.
Two advocates for homeless people also will speak.
In addition, the Democrats will hear reports from Democratic Snohomish County Councilman Terry Ryan, Snohomish County Fire District 7 Commissioner Guy Palumbo and other elected officials.
