Reel World Cinema Series: First Presbyterian Church of Everett, 3629 Rockefeller Ave., Everett, continues its series. This quarter the theme is “Campaign Issues 2016.” Films are shown at 7 p.m. Fridays, April 1, 8, 22; May 6, 20; June 10 and 17. “Ethos: A time for Change” by Peter McGrain, 2011, is narrated by Woody Harrelson and explores culture wars and our country’s political divide. Silent Movie Night: The Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., brings back Silent Movie Night and Pipe Organ with a showing of Buster Keaton’s “The General” April 2. Organ performed by Sharon Stearns. Tickets are $15. historiceveretttheatre.com.

“The Long Night”: Photojournalist Tim Matsui’s award-winning documentary depicts how runaway or neglected kids are coerced and manipulated into joining the sex trafficking industry. Everett Public Library will host a showing of the film and a discussion at 2 p.m. April 9 in the library’s auditorium, 2702 Hoyt, Everett. The film won first place in the National Press Photographers Association’s 2015 Best of Photojournalism Media contest, won a World Press Photo’s First Prize for Long Feature, and was named Documentary Project of the Year by Pictures of the Year International.
