Regarding the Feb. 1 editorial, “People priced out of homes”: I think you miss the point. The reason for high-priced housing and rents is overpopulation.
The government of this state keeps trying to attract more and more business to the area, which draws more and more people. These people push up the prices of housing and rentals. This also pushes people out of rentals and homes because they can’t afford the rising prices. They end up on the streets.
All comes down to overpopulation being increased by the state government wanting more taxes, I guess. It is also ruining the area, bulldozing trees and open land, causing more pollution, traffic, etc. Madness.
