EVERETT — A traffic accident on Airport Road knocked out power to about 2,300 Snohomish County Public Utility District customers Wednesday morning.
At about 10 a.m., a single car hit a transformer box on the west corner of Airport Road and Beverly Park Road.
“It was in proximity to one of our substations, so it affected that area served by that substation,” PUD spokesman Neil Neroutsos said.
Most of the affected customers were residential, with some small commercial and county-owned properties also losing power, Neroutsos.
Repair crews were able to repair the damage quickly, Neroutsos said, and power was restored to all customers by 10:38 a.m.
No one was injured in the accident, Sheriff’s office spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.
