Healthier community
Dr. Wendy Sue Swanson, a pediatrician at Seattle Children’s Hospital, will be the keynote speaker for the first annual Healthier Community Conference at the Lynnwood Convention Center on Feb. 29. The day also will include a panel of experts on personal, workplace and community health. Breakout sessions will include experts from Molina, Senior Services of Snohomish County, Swedish Edmonds, the YMCA and from the University of Washington’s Bothell campus. Relay for Life needs you: Volunteers are needed for South Snohomish County Relay For Life to support programs and services for local cancer patients and their families. The event is scheduled for June 4 at McCollum Park in south Everett. This will be the first year that the Edmonds/Lynnwood and Mill Creek Relay for Life events have been combined.
