Following the description of the Snohomish County Charter Review Commission and its scheduled meetings around the county over the next several weeks, the League of Women Voters of Snohomish County’s Magazine on the Air radio program also will offer an opportunity for listeners to speak their ideas and proposals about changing our county charter, our county’s “constitution,” if you will.
Every 10 years we elect 15 commissioners to review how we govern ourselves and entertain proposals for needed changes. Starting at 6 tonight, March 14, listeners to our local community radio station KSER (90.7 FM) Everett and KXIR (89.9 FM) Freeland can call in with their thoughts/proposals for improving our County Charter as they speak with three commissioners, including chairwoman Jennifer Gregerson, who will take their comments for consideration leading to their report to the Snohomish County Council before the November election. Emails and tweets to the station are also accepted through 7 p.m.; call today to KSER at 425-303-9070 or email your ideas ahead of time to ebremer@kser.org as well.
