MUKILTEO — A small mudslide was reported Sunday morning at Naketa Beach in Mukilteo.
That area has been sloughing for years.
There was no impact on the Burlington Northern Santa Fe tracks that run along the waterfront, an agency spokesman said. The railroad planned to keep an eye on the area.
About a dozen homes sit along the beach west of the tracks. The fire department no longer can send trucks to the neighborhood because the ground is too unstable to support heavy rigs.
