Seattle firm hires veteran of Snohomish County transportation projects
Project design firm WHPacific has named Torger Erickson Director of Transportation in the Seattle office. Erickson has worked on and completed several projects in this region including leading the design team construction on I-5 Everett, Highway 526 to U.S. 2, and co-managing the design team for Sound Transit’s Lynnwood link extension from Seattle to Lynnwood.
Group Health members approve sell to Kaiser
Group Health Cooperative members formally approved a resolution supporting the acquisition of Group Health by Kaiser Permanente. Regulatory reviews are pending, and will take some time to complete. Group Health will become Kaiser Permanente’s eighth region and eventually operate as the Washington Region of Kaiser Permanente, if approved by regulators. Loan closes for Bothell business park
A $13.1 million loan has closed for Bothell 405 Business Park. The four-building, 153,190 square-foot industrial park located in Bothell was built in 1988. It includes tenants representing a mix of regional and local firms operating in a variety of industries. Laurie Morfin, senior vice president, and Scott Hay, vice president for Bellwether Enterprise’s Irvine office, refinanced the Bothell 405 Business Park through a fixed-rate, five-year loan with five years of interest through Allstate.
Jersey Mike’s raises money for Seattle Children’s Hospital
In March, customers at Jersey Mike’s restaurants, including the one in Everett, can make a donation to Seattle Children’s Hospital as part of the sixth Annual Month of Giving fundraising campaign. The campaign will culminate in Jersey Mike’s Day of Giving on March 30, when local Jersey Mike’s restaurants will donate 100 percent of the day’s sales to Seattle Children’s Hospital.
