ARLINGTON — An Everett man was arrested for investigation of assault and eluding Wednesday after a short pursuit in the Arlington area that slowed I-5 traffic.
A Stanwood-area man on Wednesday morning went to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office north precinct to report that someone had shot at him near 128th Street NE and 34th Avenue NE in the Marysville area. Deputies broadcast information about the suspect, including a vehicle description.
Shortly after 1 p.m., a Tulalip police officer spotted the car heading north on I-5 through Marysville.
Deputies followed the suspect.
Although he wasn’t speeding, the driver, 40, refused to stop, sheriff’s Lt. David Bowman said.
Deputies were able to disable the car by bumping it just north of the Smokey Point rest area.
The vehicle was impounded, pending a search warrant.
