Democrats in the 1st Legislative District have announced changes in the sites of many precinct presidential caucuses for Brier, Bothell and other parts of the district.
The caucuses are scheduled for Saturday, March 26, at 10 a.m.
The 1st Legislative District includes most of Mountlake Terrace, along with all of Brier and Bothell, unincorporated areas of Snohomish County north and east of Bothell, and unincorporated areas of King County between Bothell and Kirkland.
Democratic caucuses for all eight Brier precincts have been moved to Mountlake Terrace High School.
District Democratic Chairman Dan Willner said Tuesday that the moves are due to “overwhelming interest in the caucuses.”
Wilner reminded voters to use this link (https://www.demcaucus.com/register) to verify the correct caucus location before Saturday, to register using the same link and to print registration forms and take it to the caucus Saturday.
In the Snohomish County part of the 32nd Legislative District, Democrats from Lynnwood, Woodway and nearby unincorporated areas, and south Edmonds will hold caucuses at the same time at Edmonds-Woodway High School, 7600 212th St. S.W. Edmonds. Democrats in the King County part of the district will meet at either Shorewood High School in Shoreline or Broadview Thomson K-8 school in Seattle. Democrats direct caucus goers to this site: Pre-register and find your caucus location here.
Democrats in the 21st Legislative District will have their caucuses at Meadowdale High School, 6002 168th St. SW, Edmonds. The district includes most of Edmonds, unincorporated areas north of Edmonds and Lynnwood and northeast of Lynnwood, all of Mukilteo and part of south Everett.
All precinct caucuses send delegates to legislative district caucuses April 17 and the Snohomish County Democratic Convention May 1. Those events send delegates to congressional district conventions May 21 and the Washington state Democratic Convention June 18-19. Those events send delegates to the national Democratic presidential nominating convention July 25–28 in Philadelphia.
