Spiritus Winds Quintet: A free concert featuring five diverse works for wind quintet, “Five for Five,” is 7:30 p.m. April 9, Trinity Lutheran Church, 6215 196th St. SW, Lynnwood. The group is flutist Danijela McElwee,oboist Yuh-Pey Lin, clarinetist Jenny Ziefel, French hornist Paulette Altman and bassoonist Jeff Eldridge.

Jazz History: A concert at 2 p.m. April 9 at the Mukilteo Library features Charles Lambert at the keyboard as he highlights the lives of four great American jazz musicians: Louis Armstrong, Quincy Jones, Dizzy Gillespie and Herbie Hancock. Free. The library is at 4675 Harbour Pointe Blvd.

Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra: Celebrated jazz master Bill Holman leads the ensemble in a concert at 7:30 p.m. April 15 at Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N. The concert will feature Holman’s most famous works written for the bands of Stan Kenton, Woody Herman, Count Basie and more. Holman is considered by jazz musicians and fans alike to be one of America’s leading composers. Student tickets are $10. Adults, $35. Call 425-775-9595 or go to www.ec4arts.org.

The Fat Fridays: The group, which plays jazz-infused rock and blues, will release its new CD at 7 p.m. April 15 at Pub 282 at the Camano Plaza, 370 NE Camano Drive, Camano Island. The group includes Mark Dodge, Any Carr, James Clark and Thomas Kemper. More information is at www.thefatfridays.com.

Jazz at the Center: Camano Center’s Spring Dinner Concert features Thomas Marriott Sextet at 5:30 p.m. April 20 Tickets are $35 for adults and $15 for students with student ID. Dinner music by Andy Carr and Chris Tuohy. The center is located at 606 Arrowhead Road, Camano Island.

Ana Moura: The internationally recognized artist Ana Moura will bring fado, the expressive form of Portuguese song, to Edmonds Center for the Arts at 7:30 p.m. April 23. Moura blends traditional fado with pop music, broadening the scope of this Lisbon song form. Her engagement in Edmonds will include new songs and older hits. Cantabile Chamber Choir: “Earth Songs — Voices of Earth’s Secret Soul,” an Earth Day concert, will be performed at 4:30 p.m. April 24, at the Camano Center, 606 Arrowhead Road, Camano Island. Tickets are $15 general, $8 for students at the door.

Second Hand Newz: The Tribute Time Machine takes its audience on a ride back to 1971 on April 27 at Edmonds Center for the Arts. Through the medium of rock radio, the audience will experience the nostalgic music of Fleetwood Mac performed by tribute band, Second Hand Newz. Eroica Trio: Edmonds Center for the Arts presents the Grammy award-nominated trio at 7:30 p.m. April 28 at the center, 410 Fourth Ave. N., Edmonds. The most sought-after trio in the world, Eroica has thrilled audiences with flawless technical virtuosity, irresistible enthusiasm and sensual elegance. The trio is painist Erika Nickrenz, violinist Sara Parkins and cellist Sara Sant’Ambrogio. Tickets are $34, $39 and $44, available online at www.ec4arts.org or by calling 425-275-9595. On April 10, the chamber group performs Poulenc’s Concerto for Organ and Strings with organist Youngjjn Joo.

The season finale on June 5 features Block’s Concertino for Flute, Viola and Strings.

The chorale’s 50th anniversary season continues with “Celebrate and Shout” and a guest performance by the Snohomish County Children’s Choir at 7 p.m. April 16 and 3 p.m. April 17 at the Everett Performing Arts Center, 2710 Wetmore Ave.

“Celebrate and Sing” is 7 p.m. June 11 and 3 p.m. June 12, featuring a collage of American choral music from the chorale’s 50-year history.

The “Listener’s Choice” concert is 7 p.m. May 14 at Everett Civic Auditorium, featuring Villa-Lobos’ “Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5” with soprano Ellaina Lewis, and pianist Alexander Ardakov performing the Grieg Piano Concerto in A minor.

Mukilteo Community Orchestra: The last 2 p.m. matinee of the season is May 22 at Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln Ave., Mukilteo. More at www.mukilteoorchestra.org.
