Jared Whitman

Lynnwood | Baseball

Whitman, a junior, pitched a no-hitter in Friday’s 7-0 win over Meadowdale. Whitman struck out five and walked two, helping the Royals continue the hot start to their season.

Kacey Hvitved

Monroe | Softball

Hvitved, a junior, hit a three-run home run to lead the Bearcats to a 6-2 win over league rival Snohomish on Friday. Hvitved’s homer helped keep the Bearcats undefeated this season at 2-0 in league and 7-0 overall.

Brennen Judy

Snohomish| Boys Soccer

Judy, a senior, had three goals in last Monday’s 5-1 win over Mount Vernon. Judy helped keep the defending state champion Panthers undefeated this season with a 4-0-0 league record and a 5-0-1 record overall.

Emily Sandquist

Jackson | Girls Tennis

Sanquist, a senior, went 2-0 last week, to help the Timberwolves to victories over Cascade and Mount Vernon. Sandquist has helped Jackson to a 4-0 league record and a 5-1 record overall.

John Gilbert

Cascade | Boys Track

Gilbert, a junior, won both the 100 and 200-meters in last Thursday’s meet against Snohomish and Oak Harbor. Gilbert finished the 100 in 11.37 seconds and the 200 in 22.80.

Abigail Brown

Mount Vernon | Girls Track

Brown, a junior, won the discus (99 feet, 10 inches), shot put (36-9) and javelin (119-6) in last Thursday’s meet against Meadowdale and Mountlake Terrace.

Mikey Jenson

Mountlake Terrace | Boys Golf

Jenson, a senior, compted in three matches last week, winning two and finishing third in the other. Jenson shot a combined four-over par in the three matches.

Vreni Todd

Snohomish | Girls Golf

Todd, a sophomore, earned medalist honors in a loss to Mercer Island last Tuesday, finishing with a two-over 38 in the nine hole match at Snohomish Golf Course.

Justin Beretta

Cascade | Boys Lacrosse

Beretta scored three goals and dished two assists to lead his team to a 10-9 overtime win over Monroe last Friday. Cascade is off to a 2-3 start to the season.
